My Day Off Yesterday...

You may have noticed I was MIA yesterday.  I was off to the Happiest Place On Earth with my kiddos!  One of the benefits of moving to Southern California is being able to go to Disneyland whenever we darn well please!  We moved 3 weeks ago and my kids have been begging me since the drive down to get them passes.  Well, yesterday was the day!  Although it put a HUGE dent in our checking account, it is something we planned on purchasing and will give us a year of enjoyment!

This was our first trip to Disney in over a year.  It was also the first trip without a stroller!  Oh how time flies!  At first I was excited to not have a stroller to maneuver between crazy tourists and other strollers on a mission.  But as the day went on, the backpack grew heavier {I'm not sure how because we were consuming what was inside so it should have gotten lighter!} and was making my back sweat - eeewww!  I started to wish I had my stroller to put our stuff in.  Then Brody, my 6 year old, started complaining that his poor little feet hurt, so I had to carry him.  He's a tiny 6 year old {seriously people, he's probably the size of your average 4 year old!} and could certainly still sit in the stroller when he's tired.  So now I must decide if I want to bring the stroller next time... decisions, decisions!

All in all, we had a fantabulous day.  My kids laughed and acted like goobers all day.  Amazing how fun they can be when they're not doing chores & the dreaded school work!  Brody, who normally does not want to hold my hand, kept reaching for my hand when we were in line for fast rides.  Reminding me of how young he still is and that he still needs his mama when he's nervous.  It was too cute!  I would ask if he was nervous and he would say "No!  I'm excited!" Yet he would NOT let go of my hand!  My heart was full!  I took Morgan on her first "Screamin" ride and she was a trooper.  She couldn't wait for this day, yet when got up to the coaster and she realized how massive it was, she had second thoughts.  She did it though and I was laughing hysterically listening to her screams & giggles the whole time.  It would change from screams of shear fright to screams of exhilaration!  As soon as she made it through the loop, she started screaming "I'm going on this again!"  And Parker, my tenderhearted little love.  He played the big brother role so well.  Constantly answering Brody's questions and riding with him whenever Brody wanted.  He took Morgan on Indiana Jones all by themselves {which about gave me a heart attack but I had to let them do it!}  He has grown and matured so much.  It makes me as proud as it does sad.  I hate how fast time goes by.  I hope you all enjoy your little ones today.  We do not know what tomorrow holds!

So this, my friends, is why there were no posts yesterday.  I have so many deals to share with you and will have the Nugget match-ups up in a bit.  I guess it's time to take this site to the next level.  I may need an assistant!
